Pet Savvy

I have always been passionate about animals. As a small child the family dog gave me my first experience with training and the dog show world. Later after the family moved from New England to rural California I began taking horseback riding lessons and then progressed to horse ownership and the show ring. My enjoyment of and fascination with animals of all kinds has been the one constant throughout my life.


Over the course of the years I have volunteered numerous hours at animal shelters, as a foster home for rescue dogs and at a therapeutic riding program. In 2006 I completed a year long course to receive certification in dog training and spent the following year as an intern with a Santa Cruz are trainer.


It has long been a dream of mine to turn my passion for working with animals into a vocation and in 2008 I founded PetSavvy Training. Now in 2010 I am thrilled to offer to the community a full range of training and animal care services.
